Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist with Redeemer Physical Therapy, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting thorough evaluations of patients referred by their physicians, which includes assessing physical conditions and functional abilities.
• Designing individualized treatment programs based on clinical diagnoses, patient needs, and physician recommendations.
• Implementing various therapeutic interventions including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities tailored to enhance patient recovery.
• Documenting patient progress and outcomes in compliance with state regulations and insurance requirements.
• Providing education to patients and their families regarding their treatment plans, expectations, and self-management strategies.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care for each patient, thereby enhancing patient satisfaction and outcomes.
• Establishing and nurturing strong relationships with patients to motivate and inspire them throughout their rehabilitation process.
• Meeting performance and utilization goals set by the organization while contributing positively to the overall workflow of the clinic.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In your role, you will be serving a diverse patient population that includes individuals facing orthopedic challenges, neurological conditions, pediatric issues, and sports-related injuries. Our focus on continuity of care allows us to assist patients at different stages of rehabilitation, from recovery following surgical procedures to preventive strategies aimed at enhancing general health and well-being.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution.
• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Virginia.
• Graduation from an APTA or CAPTE-approved physical therapy program.
• Certification in Basic Life Support from the American Heart Association.

Preferred Experience

We are looking for candidates with at least 2 years of clinical experience in a similar outpatient setting. Candidates who exhibit strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build rapport with patients, combined with a passion for continuous learning and professional development, will be highly valued.
