Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to determine the needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents, utilizing standardized tools and interviews.

• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to each client, taking into consideration their developmental levels, family dynamics, and socio-cultural backgrounds.

• Provide therapeutic interventions grounded in evidence-based practices, such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and play therapy, to effectively address issues such as anxiety, depression, and behavioral disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, equipping parents and guardians with skills and strategies to support their children’s mental health and foster positive family interactions.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals, ensuring a cohesive and holistic approach to treatment.

• Manage crisis situations by offering timely and appropriate interventions, ensuring the safety and well-being of our young clients during emergencies.

• Educate families about mental health issues, treatment options, and available community resources to support their children's well-being.

• Maintain meticulous and secure documentation of patient interactions and treatment plans in compliance with HIPAA regulations.

• Engage in regular team meetings and case conferences for continuous learning and improvement of therapeutic practices.

• Stay current with emerging research and best practices in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry to provide the highest quality care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents experiencing a variety of mental health issues, including anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral disorders. You will be responsible for fostering an environment where young clients feel safe and understood, allowing for open communication and effective therapeutic interventions.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, including the latest evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Previous experience providing individual and family therapy to young clients, showcasing a child-centric therapeutic approach.

• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities, enabling you to connect with children and their families effectively.

Compensation and Benefits\n
