Work Environment\n

This role operates within an outpatient office setting, allowing for flexible telehealth services as well. Our center is designed to be a safe and welcoming space for our young patients and their families. The work schedule typically spans Monday to Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, although occasional evening shifts may be required to meet our patients’ needs. As part of a remote work structure, you will utilize advanced electronic health record (EHR) systems to manage documentation and communicate with your team seamlessly.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to accurately evaluate the psychological and emotional needs of children and adolescents.

• Develop and implement customized treatment plans that respect each child’s developmental stage, family dynamics, and individual challenges.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities to deliver effective interventions, addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues among young patients.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions to empower parents and caregivers in fostering a nurturing, supportive home environment.

• Engage in collaborative efforts with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary professionals to ensure comprehensive and coordinated care.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention and support during mental health emergencies involving children and adolescents.
\n
• Educate patients and their families about mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources that can enhance their support networks.

• Maintain precise and confidential documentation in adherence to legal and ethical standards, utilizing our EHR system effectively.

• Participate actively in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development activities to enhance your skills and knowledge.

• Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent psychiatry to continuously improve the quality of care offered.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents dealing with diverse mental health issues, including but not limited to anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral challenges. Your role is crucial in creating a safe space for these young individuals, allowing them to express their feelings while receiving the support and guidance they need to thrive.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.
\n
• Valid and current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker - R Privilege (LCSW-R), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Psychoanalyst, or Psychologist in New York State.

• Minimum of two years of post-licensure experience preferred, demonstrating a strong foundation in child and adolescent mental health.

• In-depth knowledge of mental health disorders affecting children and adolescents, as well as evidence-based treatment modalities relevant to this age group.
\n
• Demonstrated experience providing individual and family therapy to young clients.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a nurturing and child-centered approach to therapy.
\n
• Ability to build rapport and trust with children, adolescents, and their families, facilitating a therapeutic relationship that encourages growth and healing.
\n
• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and other relevant technologies for patient management.
\n
• Collaborative mindset and an eagerness to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in a clinical outpatient setting, particularly within child and adolescent mental health.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The position offers a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
