Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health assessments to evaluate the needs of children and adolescents, taking into account their developmental stages, family dynamics, and individual circumstances.

• Develop and implement tailored treatment plans that integrate various therapeutic modalities grounded in research and clinical best practices.

• Deliver evidence-based interventions to address concerns such as anxiety, depression, ADHD, and behavioral disorders, employing techniques that foster resilience and coping skills.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions that empower parents and caregivers to create nurturing, supportive environments for their children.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care strategies that effectively meet the complex needs of our young patients.

• Provide crisis intervention support during mental health emergencies, ensuring the safety and well-being of patients.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, coping strategies, treatment options, and available community resources to promote informed decision-making.

• Maintain accurate and confidential clinical documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case discussions, and ongoing professional development to enhance therapeutic skills and clinical knowledge.

• Stay up to date with current research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health to continually improve care delivery practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on treating children and adolescents facing various mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, ADHD, and other behavioral issues. We support a diverse population and emphasize developing therapeutic relationships that foster trust and engagement between the therapist, child, and family. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience is preferred but not mandatory.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, evidence-based treatment methodologies, and psychotherapeutic techniques.

• Experience in providing individual and family therapy to young individuals.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, showcasing a compassionate, child-centered approach to care.

• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and familiar with relevant computer applications.
