Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to assess and understand the unique needs of children and adolescents.

• Create and execute individualized treatment plans that encompass cognitive-behavioral approaches, family dynamics, and developmental considerations.

• Provide evidence-based therapies, such as play therapy or family therapy, tailored to meet the specific struggles of young clients.

• Engage in crisis intervention when needed, offering immediate support and stabilization for children and adolescents in distress.

• Educate clients and families on mental health issues, treatment options, and community resources, enhancing their understanding and involvement in care.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate client records in compliance with legal, ethical, and organizational standards.

• Participate in continuous professional development activities to stay current with the latest research and treatment models in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will work primarily with children and adolescents aged 5-18, addressing myriad mental health issues that impact their daily lives. Your role is crucial in helping young clients navigate challenges related to emotional regulation, social interactions, and academic performance. Through targeted interventions, you will foster resilience, coping strategies, and overall well-being, setting the foundation for healthier future outcomes.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LCSW-R, LMHC, or LMFT in New York.
\n
• Proficient understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, alongside evidence-based treatment methodologies.

• Strong interpersonal skills that facilitate effective communication with children, adolescents, and their families.

• Ability to demonstrate empathy and compassion while maintaining professional boundaries.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of post-licensure experience providing mental health services to children and adolescents.

Compensation and Benefits\n
