We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Child and Adolescent Mental Health Therapist to join our innovative telehealth team at the Health Disorder Mental and Counseling Center. This position is fully remote, allowing you to deliver mental health services via telehealth platforms. Emphasizing a flexible and work-life balanced approach, our telehealth setting enables you to connect with patients in a familiar environment, reducing barriers to access and promoting comfort during therapy sessions. While you will mainly work from home, you'll maintain close communication with our team through virtual meetings and collaborative platforms.

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to evaluate emotional, behavioral, and psychological needs.

• Collaborate with the treatment team to design and implement individualized treatment plans that address the specific issues affecting each young patient.
\n
• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic techniques, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), to support children and adolescents in managing anxiety, depression, ADHD, and other mental health disorders.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions aimed at strengthening familial relationships and creating supportive home environments for the patient's well-being.
\n
• Provide emergency interventions and crisis support when acute mental health issues arise.
\n
• Educate families about mental health conditions and available treatment options, empowering them with knowledge and resources.
\n
• Maintain meticulous documentation of patient progress, treatment plans, and consultations in compliance with HIPAA and other ethical standards.
\n
• Engage in regular case conferences and team meetings to share insights, discuss challenges, and ensure a cohesive treatment approach for all patients.

• Keep up to date with the latest research and advancements in child and adolescent mental health to continuously enhance therapeutic practices.

This role focuses on delivering care to children and adolescents, ages 5 to 18, who are experiencing a variety of mental health challenges. Common conditions include anxiety disorders, mood disorders, ADHD, and behavioral issues. By addressing these challenges early on, we aim to help our young patients lead fulfilling lives and succeed academically and socially.

• Master's Degree or Doctorate in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure in New York as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Licensed Psychologist.
\n
• A strong understanding of child and adolescent neurodevelopment, mental health disorders, and therapeutic modalities is essential.
\n
• Demonstrated experience in conducting individual and family therapy with youth is necessary.
\n
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a strong ability to connect and build rapport with children, adolescents, and their families.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and telehealth applications.
\n

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience working with children and adolescents is preferred.

• Experience in a telehealth setting is advantageous, as it allows for efficient adaptation to remote service delivery.

• Active involvement in continuing education and professional development programs in the mental health field.
