Work Environment\n

This role operates within a telehealth facility, allowing for dynamic interaction with patients remotely, thus enhancing accessibility and convenience for families in Troy and the surrounding areas. The work schedule primarily follows a Monday to Friday timeline, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to accommodate patient needs. This flexibility is designed to support a balanced work-life dynamic.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify and evaluate the unique needs of children and adolescents, utilizing standardized diagnostic tools and observations.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that emphasize evidence-based practices tailored to the developmental stages of the patients and the dynamics of their family environment.

• Provide a variety of therapeutic interventions, including cognitive-behavioral therapy, play therapy, and family therapy, to address behavioral issues, anxiety, depression, and more.

• Deliver family therapy sessions aimed at empowering parents and caregivers with strategies to foster supportive home environments for their children.

• Collaborate with our team of child psychiatrists and professionals to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to patient care, conducting regular case reviews and team meetings.

• Offer crisis intervention when necessary, providing immediate support and resources during mental health emergencies involving young patients.
\n
• Educate patients and their families on mental health conditions, treatment pathways, and community resources that can aid in ongoing support.

• Maintain meticulous and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other regulatory standards.

• Engage actively in continuous professional development, remaining informed of the latest advancements and best practices in the field of child and adolescent psychiatry.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily serve children and adolescents facing various mental health issues, including anxiety disorders, depressive symptoms, behavioral problems, and ADHD. Your role will be integral in helping this vulnerable population navigate their challenges and achieve positive mental health outcomes alongside their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as Social Work, Psychology, or Mental Health Counseling.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or an equivalent credential in New York State.

• Demonstrated knowledge of child and adolescent mental health disorders along with a strong foundation in evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

• Excellent interpersonal skills with a child-centered focus and the ability to build positive, trusting relationships with young clients and their families.

• Proficiency in utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems and comfort with remote telehealth technology.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure experience in a mental health counseling setting, particularly with youth populations.

Compensation and Benefits\n
