Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments for children and adolescents to identify their needs and formulate appropriate treatment strategies.

• Develop, implement, and regularly review individualized treatment plans that account for the developmental stages and unique family dynamics of each patient.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including individual and family therapy sessions, tailored to address a variety of mental health challenges.

• Facilitate family therapy to guide parents and caregivers on nurturing practices that support the emotional development of their children.

• Work in close collaboration with child psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure a coordinated approach to holistic care for patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention and immediate support to children and adolescents experiencing mental health emergencies.

• Educate patients and their families about mental health conditions, available treatment options, and relevant community resources.

• Maintain accurate, confidential, and compliant documentation in accordance with legal and ethical standards.

• Actively participate in team meetings, case consultations, and professional development opportunities to enhance clinical knowledge and skills.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be on children and adolescents facing a variety of mental health issues. Qualifications\n

• A master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• A minimum of two years of post-licensure clinical experience, demonstrating proficiency in child and adolescent mental health care.

• Strong understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders and evidence-based therapeutic modalities.

• Experience delivering both individual and family therapy to younger populations.
\n
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, with a focus on a compassionate, child-centered approach.

• Capability to build rapport with patients and their families, creating a safe and trusting therapeutic environment.

• Proficient in using electronic health records (EHR) systems and related software applications.
