Work Environment\n

This position offers the flexibility of remote work while connecting with our community health clinic framework. Our outpatient setting focuses on collaborative care with other mental health professionals, allowing you to engage in enriching team discussions, case consultations, and ongoing professional development opportunities. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with occasional evening shifts to meet patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial and ongoing mental health assessments to accurately identify the needs and challenges facing children and adolescents.

• Design and implement tailored treatment plans, considering developmental milestones, family context, and cultural backgrounds.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to facilitate effective treatment.

• Facilitate family therapy sessions, providing guidance to parents and caregivers to enhance their ability to create a supportive home environment.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and educational professionals to coordinate a comprehensive care plan that aligns treatment with school and family systems.

• Respond to mental health crises involving children, providing immediate intervention and stabilization strategies to ensure their safety and well-being.

• Educate clients and families regarding mental health disorders, available treatment options, and community resources to promote informed decision-making.

• Maintain thorough and confidential patient records in compliance with HIPAA and other legal regulations, ensuring consistency and accuracy.

• Engage in continuous learning through professional development and by staying updated on the latest research and best practices in child and adolescent mental health.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will primarily work with children and adolescents facing mental health challenges, including but not limited to anxiety disorders, depression, Attention- Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD), and other behavioral concerns. Understanding the unique developmental stages and emotional needs of this population is crucial for effectively guiding their therapeutic journey.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state license as an LCSW, LMFT, or LMHC.
\n
• No less than two years of post-licensure clinical experience, particularly with children and adolescents.
\n
• Strong foundational knowledge of child and adolescent mental health issues and familiarity with evidence-based treatment modalities.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ensuring a compassionate approach that resonates with young clients and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
