Work Environment

You will work onsite at our modern rehabilitation center in Bakersfield, a location known for its supportive community atmosphere. Our facility is designed to provide a comfortable and efficient environment for both patients and staff, allowing for focused and effective treatment sessions. We operate on a Monday to Friday schedule from 9 AM to 5 PM, which promotes work-life balance while meeting the needs of our clientele.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on thorough evaluations of patients' needs, ensuring alignment with their personal goals.
• Maintain a productive patient load, typically treating one patient per hour, to provide high-quality care without compromise.
• Utilize a variety of treatment techniques, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and modalities to improve motion and alleviate pain.
• Engage with patients during their sessions, motivating them to follow through on their care plans and promoting a successful outcome.
• Monitor and document treatment effectiveness, adapting care plans as necessary based on patient progress.
• Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to support comprehensive patient care.
• Foster a proactive approach to patient education, informing patients about self-management strategies and preventative measures.
• Emphasize cost-effective treatment options, focusing on non-surgical alternatives and reducing reliance on medications when possible.
• Promote overall health by enhancing patients' strength, flexibility, balance, and coordination through personalized wellness programs.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The patients you will serve primarily consist of individuals recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and various musculoskeletal conditions. Our diverse patient population requires personalized attention and varying rehabilitation strategies to ensure effective recovery and functionality restoration.

Qualifications

• Licensed as a Physical Therapist in California with no disciplinary actions against the license.
• Possession of a Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) or a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy.
• Demonstrable proficiency in manual therapy techniques and developing effective therapeutic exercise routines.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT, for effective documentation and patient tracking.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, enabling open dialogue with patients and collaboration with team members.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is highly desirable for adapting quickly to our patient care model.
• Skill and comfort in using various therapeutic modalities and techniques to support patient rehabilitation.
• A history of successfully implementing evidence-based practice for improved patient outcomes.

Compensation and Benefits

The successful candidate can expect a competitive salary ranging from $100,000 to $125,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
