Work Environment\n

As a remote position located in Scottsdale, AZ, this role requires the mental health therapist to reach out to patients primarily in school settings. We provide a collaborative and supportive work atmosphere that fosters continued professional growth. The position operates primarily Monday through Friday from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, with some scheduling flexibility to accommodate patient needs.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations to assess the needs of patients and collaboratively develop individualized treatment plans that promote effective therapeutic outcomes.

• Provide evidence-based therapeutic interventions, incorporating methodologies such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Solution-Focused Therapy, to individuals, couples, and families.

• Lead psychoeducation and support groups focusing on prevalent mental health concerns, fostering a welcoming environment for experiential learning and community support.

• Work closely with a multidisciplinary team that includes psychiatrists and psychologists to deliver integrated and comprehensive care to our patients.

• Deliver crisis intervention services as essential, ensuring timely support during mental health emergencies and increasing patient safety.

• Assist patients in understanding their mental health conditions, discussing treatment options and available resources, thereby enabling informed decision-making.
\n
• Ensure compliance with all legal and ethical documentation standards, maintaining accurate and confidential patient records.
\n
• Participate actively in staff meetings, case consultations, and continuous learning opportunities, staying informed on the latest advancements in mental health therapies.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This position focuses on serving a diverse population of school-aged children and adolescents, addressing unique developmental and psychological challenges to support their educational journey and overall well-being. You will help empower them to overcome barriers to learning and personal growth.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LCSW, LPC, or LMFT in Arizona.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of mental health disorders and a variety of evidence-based treatment approaches.
\n
• Exceptional ability to conduct mental health assessments and develop effective treatment plans tailored to individual needs.

• Experience in providing individual and group therapy, with a focus on diverse populations and unique life circumstances.

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport quickly with patients and families.

• Commitment to ethical practice, demonstrating professional boundaries and sound judgment at all times.

• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems is preferred, facilitating efficient documentation and communication.

• Ability and willingness to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to achieve holistic patient care.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience in a mental health setting, particularly in school or community health environments.

• Prior experience working with youth and families, especially addressing educational challenges.

• Training or certification in specialized therapeutic modalities such as trauma-informed therapy, play therapy, or behavioral therapy will be viewed favorably.
