Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to evaluate clients’ mental health conditions, ensuring the development of tailored treatment plans that reflect their unique needs.

• Identify and respond to crisis situations, providing immediate support and intervention using your clinical skills and compassionate approach.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As a Mental Health Therapist at Emerson Counseling Services, you will primarily work with students from various backgrounds, each facing their unique mental health challenges. Your role will involve addressing issues such as anxiety, depression, behavior problems, and trauma, allowing you to make a significant impact on the mental health and educational outcomes of these young individuals.

Qualifications\n

• An active and independent state license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), or Doctor of Psychology (PsyD) .

• A master’s degree or doctoral degree in Social Work, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Psychology is required.

• Demonstrated ability to build compassionate therapeutic relationships with clients, particularly within a diverse cultural and socioeconomic context.

• Excellence in communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective collaboration with various stakeholders.

• Proven organizational and time-management skills, ensuring meticulous documentation of client interactions and treatment progress.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience working in a school environment or with child and adolescent populations is preferred but not mandatory.

Compensation and Benefits\n
