Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough initial mental health evaluations through video consultations, assessing clients' emotional, behavioral, and cognitive needs.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans tailored to the specific requirements of clients from diverse backgrounds.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions, leveraging evidence-based therapeutic methods to engage and support clients.
\n
• Monitor client progress through regular check-ins and adjust treatment plans as necessary to optimize therapeutic outcomes.

• Collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team of healthcare professionals to devise comprehensive intervention strategies.

• Manage ongoing communications and follow-ups with both clients and external providers to ensure a seamless care experience.

• Identify and mitigate potential barriers to recovery, helping clients navigate their mental health journeys.

• Educate families and caregivers on psychosocial factors impacting treatment approaches and recovery.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our organization serves a diverse clientele, inclusive of children, adolescents, adults, and families facing a variety of life challenges, mental illnesses, and emotional disturbances. You will work closely with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, addiction disorders, and other mental health issues. Understanding the unique backgrounds and needs of our clients is crucial in providing effective care.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Possession of a current and valid licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in Nevada.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).
\n
• Strong familiarity with electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, to document client interactions efficiently.
\n
• Demonstrated knowledge of effective treatment modalities for underlying psychological and physical health conditions, as well as substance use disorders.
\n
• In-depth understanding of psychotropic medications and their effects as prescribed by medical professionals.
\n
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, along with a compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience as a mental health counselor, ideally in a telehealth environment.

• Experience working with family systems and knowledge of effective family therapy techniques.
\n
• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).

Compensation and Benefits\n

At West Hills Behavioral Health Center, we offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additionally, new hires may be eligible for a sign-on bonus. Our benefits package includes:
