This position is fully remote, allowing our LCSW to work from the comfort of their own home while effectively serving students and their families. Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health assessments, incorporating psychosocial evaluations and risk assessments to understand students' unique circumstances and emotional needs.

• Collaborate closely with students, educators, and families to develop individualized treatment plans that respect cultural factors, personal goals, and specific challenges.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic methods—including Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT)—to deliver effective therapy across individual, couple, family, and group settings.

• Provide immediate crisis intervention, ensuring timely and coordinated care for students experiencing acute distress while liaising with other healthcare professionals.
\n
• Accurately document clinical interactions, maintaining up-to-date progress notes, treatment plans, and discharge summaries in accordance with clinic standards and regulatory compliance.
\n
• Educate students and their families in managing mental health symptoms, promoting empowerment and proactive engagement in their care.
\n
• Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings that include psychiatrists, psychologists, and counselors to ensure comprehensive support for every student.
\n
• Regularly evaluate treatment efficacy by conducting outcome assessments, using this data to refine and adapt treatment approaches as needed.

• Stay current with the latest research and best practices in mental health, ensuring the integration of innovative techniques into your therapeutic work.

• Safeguard patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical guidelines in all professional interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

As an LCSW at Serene Sanctuary Counseling, you will primarily work with school-aged children and adolescents. You will address a wide range of mental health issues including anxiety, depression, behavioral challenges, and trauma. This role requires a deep understanding of the school environment and its impacts on student mental health, as well as the ability to build rapport with young clients and their families.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited program is required.

• An active and current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of California is a must.

• Proven ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team framework.

Preferred Experience\n

Compensation and Benefits\n
