Work Environment

This position is based onsite, focusing on home care, which allows you to provide therapeutic services in a comfortable environment for patients. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive evaluations to develop personalized treatment programs based on referrals from physicians.
• Implement and monitor treatment plans while adapting strategies based on patient progress and feedback.
• Utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic techniques, including therapeutic exercise, manual therapy, and patient education, to enhance functional recovery in patients.
• Provide ongoing support and communication with patients and their caregivers to ensure understanding and encourage compliance with treatment protocols.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of patient treatments and progress using industry-standard electronic health record (EHR) systems.
• Set and meet clinical goals to promote optimal patient outcomes while contributing to organizational objectives.
• Actively engage in community outreach and education efforts, enhancing public awareness of physical therapy benefits.

Patient Population / Client Focus

As a Physical Therapist at Korunda, you will work with a diverse patient population, addressing conditions in orthopedic, pediatric, neurological, and sports medicine areas. Your role will focus on tailoring interventions to meet each patient's unique needs, fostering recovery from injury and promoting an active lifestyle. The relationships you develop with patients will be critical in motivating them and driving their rehabilitation progress.

Qualifications

• Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from a CAPTE-accredited program.
• Current state license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida.
• A minimum of two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting, showcasing your ability to manage and treat a variety of conditions.
• Current CPR certification.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills necessary for effective patient interaction and documentation.
• Elementary computer proficiency, particularly with word processing, EHR systems, and communication technologies.

Preferred Experience

• Knowledge of current evidence-based practices in physical therapy.
