Travel: Approximately 50%

Anchor Talent has partnered with a growing chemical manufacturer to recruit a Sales Manager to expand its Home & Personal Care business across North America.

This is a true new business development opportunity. Approximately 60–70% of the role will focus on prospecting, opening doors, developing opportunities and winning new customers, with the balance focused on growing strategic accounts.

The right person enjoys being in the market, meeting customers, uncovering needs and connecting technical capabilities to commercial opportunities. This role is best suited for someone who wants to build business, not simply inherit and maintain an existing book of accounts.

What You’ll Do

• Drive new business development across the Household & Personal Care market, with 60–70% of the role focused on identifying, pursuing and closing new opportunities.
• Build pipeline through direct prospecting, customer visits, industry relationships, referrals, conferences and trade shows.
• Develop relationships with formulators, R&D teams, procurement, technical leaders and commercial decision-makers.
• Identify customher needs and new applications for specialty chemicals, surfactants and formulation technologies.
• Partner with technical, R&D, product management, manufacturing and supply-chain teams to move opportunities from initial discussion through commercialization.
• Grow existing strategic accounts through new products, applications and expanded customer relationships.
• Manage pipeline, forecasts and opportunity activity with strong commercial discipline.
• Monitor market trends, competitive activity and evolving customer requirements.
• Represent the company at customer meetings, technical discussions and industry events.

 

What We’re Looking For

• 3+ years of successful B2B sales or business development experience within chemicals serving Household products & Personal Care markets.
• Proven success identifying, developing and closing net-new business.
• Strong knowledge of the HPC market and customer landscape.
• Experience selling surfactants, functional ingredients, specialty chemicals, formulation technologies or related chemistries strongly preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and commercial stakeholders.
• Experience managing pipelines, forecasts, pricing discussions and complex sales cycles.
• Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field preferred.
• Self-directed, commercially driven and comfortable operating in a growth environment.
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically 40–50%.
