Key Responsibilities Provide individualized mindfulness-based therapy sessions to clients, emphasizing stress reduction, awareness, and emotional regulation techniques. Conduct thorough initial assessments to evaluate clients’ unique situations, identifying stressors and goals to guide a personalized treatment plan. Initiate and facilitate engaging group workshops, focusing on mindfulness exercises, meditation techniques, and stress management strategies. Incorporate mindfulness practices seamlessly into individual therapies to address specific mental health challenges while nurturing overall client growth. Maintain comprehensive documentation regarding client progress, mindfulness interventions, group sessions, and treatment plans, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations. Work collaboratively with fellow therapists and multidisciplinary healthcare providers to create a cohesive approach to mental health care and treatment strategies. Participate in ongoing personal mindfulness practice and professional development activities, enhancing your skills in MBSR and related techniques. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Mental Health Therapist at DFSI, your primary focus will be on adults experiencing a spectrum of mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to stress-related disorders. You will support clients seeking to enhance their overall well-being through mindfulness strategies that promote self-discovery and resilience in coping with life's challenges. Your work will help clients find balance in their lives and empower them to cultivate fulfilling experiences. Qualifications A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution. Current licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of Oregon. Strong communication abilities, enabling you to foster a compassionate and safe therapeutic environment for clients. Preferred Experience Demonstrated training or experience in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) or similar mindfulness practices is highly desirable. Previous experience in outpatient mental health settings, focusing on individual and group therapy, is preferred. Adeptness in integrating mindfulness techniques into therapeutic methodologies to cater to diverse client needs. Compensation and Benefits We offer a competitive salary range of $80,000 to $104,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
