Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial mental health assessments through virtual interviews, documenting findings from the first consultation to treatment completion.

• Evaluate clients’ mental, emotional, and behavioral health, establishing a clear understanding of their needs.
\n
• Develop individualized intervention and recovery plans tailored for individuals, couples, families, and groups.
\n
• Facilitate engaging and effective individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based modalities to promote healing.
\n
• Monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, adjusting plans as necessary to ensure effective recovery.
\n
• Collaborate with other mental health professionals, including doctors, nurses, and social workers, to create cohesive intervention strategies.
\n
• Follow up with psychiatrists and attending physicians regarding clients who require hospitalization to optimize their care.
\n
• Identify potential barriers to recovery and develop strategies to mitigate these challenges proactively.

• Offer support and guidance to family members and primary caregivers in managing their loved ones’ mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

In your role as a mental health counselor, you will work with a diverse client population, encompassing individuals of various ages and backgrounds facing mental health issues such as anxiety, depression, trauma, and behavioral disorders. Your expertise will help these clients navigate their challenges, fostering resilience and enhancing their overall quality of life.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current licensure as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) in the state of Florida.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Demonstrated experience as a mental health counselor with a strong clinical foundation.
\n
• Proficiency in electronic health record systems like AVATAR to maintain accurate patient documentation and streamline treatment processes.

• Knowledge of various mental health conditions, including co-occurring disorders and the implications of prescribed medications.

• Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities, coupled with strong interpersonal skills and an empathetic demeanor.

Preferred Experience\n

• Prior experience working in a telehealth setting is particularly advantageous, allowing for immediate adaptation to remote counseling modalities.

• A solid understanding of American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) best practices and therapeutic techniques.

Compensation and Benefits\n
