Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations for new clients, using structured interviews and standardized assessment tools to establish personalized treatment plans that resonate with their unique mental health needs.

• Deliver evidence-based therapy services, such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to individuals, families, and groups, actively applying varied techniques based on specific therapeutic goals.

• Collaborate closely with other mental health professionals, including case managers and psychiatrists, to create a coordinated approach to client care, ensuring a continuum of services and support.

• Provide crisis intervention for clients in acute distress, effectively employing strategies to stabilize situations, enhance emotional regulation, and connect clients to necessary resources.

• Lead community outreach programs and educational workshops aimed at promoting mental health awareness, thereby reducing stigma and encouraging proactive mental health management.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our services primarily cater to individuals across the Ithaca region and other areas in New York, with a focus on underserved populations. Qualifications\n

• Possession of an active and independent license as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• A completed master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology.

• Exemplary communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusting therapeutic relationships with clients from various demographic backgrounds.

• Demonstrated cultural competence, enabling effective engagement with individuals from a broad spectrum of ethnic, cultural, and socioeconomic groups.

• Strong organizational skills, capable of maintaining accurate and timely documentation of client interactions and treatment progress.

Preferred Experience\n

Candidates with at least 2 years of clinical experience in mental health counseling preferred. Experience in telehealth practice or community mental health settings will be considered a significant advantage, as will familiarity with evidence-based therapeutic frameworks.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $80,000 to $100,000 annually, commensurate with experience and credentialing.
