Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist - Orthopedic Outpatient Facility

Position Overview

Body and Spine PT is looking for an outstanding Full-Time Licensed Physical Therapist to join our dedicated team in Sparks, Nevada. The role involves providing exceptional care to patients with a variety of orthopedic conditions in a supportive and collaborative environment. Work Environment

This position is onsite at our rehabilitation facility located in Sparks, Nevada. You will work during our operational hours from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a great work-life balance. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations and assessments of patients to determine their needs and create effective treatment strategies.
• Design and implement customized treatment plans that align with the latest therapeutic techniques, targeting recovery from sports injuries, post-surgical rehabilitation, and chronic orthopedic conditions.
• Deliver evidence-based physical therapy interventions using manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and functional training to enhance patient mobility and strength.
• Educate patients on injury prevention strategies, appropriate movement techniques, and tailored home exercise programs to facilitate ongoing recovery.
• Collaborate with orthopedic physicians and the multi-disciplinary team to optimize treatment outcomes and ensure continuity of care for our patients.
• Continuously monitor and assess patient progress, modifying treatment plans as needed to maintain appropriate rehabilitation goals.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation within our Electronic Medical Records (EMR) system to ensure compliance and quality of care.
• Engage in continuous professional development by staying informed about advancements in physical therapy and orthopedic rehabilitation practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary patient population includes individuals experiencing various orthopedic conditions, such as post-operative patients recovering from surgeries like hip or knee replacements, athletes rehabilitating from sports injuries, and individuals with chronic pain issues. You will work closely with each patient to ensure they receive tailored care that aligns with their unique recovery goals.

Qualifications

• A valid Physical Therapy license in the state of Nevada is required.
• A Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy or related field is essential; however, a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree is highly desirable.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to foster relationships with patients and colleagues are crucial for success in this position.
• A compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care, emphasizing a commitment to their recovery journey.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience of at least 2 years in an outpatient or clinical setting is preferred to provide a solid foundation for this role.
• Experience with various therapeutic modalities and understanding of physical therapy equipment applicable to different conditions will be an asset.
• Strong organizational skills to effectively manage a full caseload while maintaining high standards of care in a fast-paced environment.

Compensation and Benefits
