This role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in work-life balance while ensuring clients have access to essential mental health resources regardless of their location in Brookhaven, New York, and beyond. You will use secure telehealth platforms to interact with clients, ensuring confidentiality and providing comfortable and accessible care. We prioritize technology and innovation, using Electronic Health Records (EHR) systems to maintain patient information and streamline workflows.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct initial assessments by meeting with clients to evaluate their mental health status, discussing their history, symptoms, and personal goals.

• Develop personalized treatment plans based on assessments that incorporate evidence-based practices and therapeutic modalities tailored to each client's needs.

• Engage with clients through regular sessions, employing various therapeutic techniques and providing them with coping strategies and tools to manage their mental health.

• Facilitate referrals to other healthcare professionals, such as psychiatrists or addiction specialists, when additional support or medication management is needed.

• Document all client interactions, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately in our EHR systems to ensure continuity of care and compliance with regulations.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our counselors work with a diverse clientele, including individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, substance abuse issues, trauma, and eating disorders. You will engage with clients from various backgrounds, requiring cultural competence and the ability to adapt therapy approaches to meet their unique needs.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid state license as a Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT), Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), or LCSW-R.

• A minimum of two years of clinical experience in a mental health or behavioral health setting.

• Strong understanding of mental health disorders and evidence-based treatment methods, with the ability to apply appropriate therapies in practice.

• Knowledge of telehealth best practices and proficiency in using EHR software and digital communication tools.

Compensation and Benefits\n
