Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct in-depth assessments to thoroughly evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of mood disorder symptoms in clients, ensuring a comprehensive understanding of their mental health status.

• Collaborate closely with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans aimed at addressing their unique needs, goals, and preferences, thereby ensuring meaningful and effective therapy.

• Employ evidence-based therapeutic modalities such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate healing and growth for individuals grappling with mood disorders.

• Educate and provide support to clients and their families about mood disorders, available treatment options, and strategic self-care practices that promote ongoing mental health and wellness.

• Monitor client progress consistently throughout the treatment timeline, making necessary adjustments to individual treatment plans to meet evolving needs and enhance outcomes.

• Engage in collaborative discussions with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to ensure an integrated approach to patient care, offering a holistic treatment experience.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily focuses on supporting individuals facing mood disorders such as depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related issues. Our patient population is diverse, requiring a counselor who is adaptable and sensitive to varying cultural backgrounds and personal experiences.

Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in the state of New York.

• Proficiency in evidence-based treatment practices for mood disorders, particularly in modalities such as CBT and DBT.

• A solid understanding of psychopharmacology to facilitate effective collaboration with psychiatrists and other health professionals.

• A proven track record of successfully delivering treatment that yields positive outcomes for clients dealing with mood disorders.

Compensation and Benefits\n
