Work Environment

This full-time position requires you to work onsite in a school facility, allowing you to engage directly with students and assess their health needs in a familiar environment. Our operational hours are from Monday to Friday, with a total work commitment of 40 hours per week, concluding at 5:00 PM daily. This setup aims to provide consistent and quality healthcare services to our young patients.

Key Responsibilities

As a Nurse Practitioner at Heart Care Center PC, your key responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive physical examinations of patients, assessing their medical histories and existing health conditions.
• Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as blood tests and X-rays to arrive at accurate diagnoses.
• Formulating and implementing treatment plans tailored to chronic and infectious diseases.
• Prescribing appropriate medications and treatments based on patient evaluation and established clinical guidelines.
• Maintaining accurate and thorough patient records to ensure seamless continuity of care.
• Engaging in patient education by informing patients and their families about health conditions and prescribed treatments.
• Monitoring overall patient health, following up on treatment efficacy, and adjusting care plans as necessary.
• Promoting preventive health practices and educating the community on disease prevention and wellness initiatives.

You will primarily serve a diverse population of students in the school setting, which is integral for early intervention and health education. Qualifications

The ideal candidate for the Nurse Practitioner position will possess the following qualifications:

• A Master’s degree in Nursing with specialization as a Nurse Practitioner.
• A valid New York State Nurse Practitioner license.
• ANP/FNP certification is required.
• A current DEA number to prescribe medications.
• A demonstrated commitment to ethics and excellent patient care.
• Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit are essential.

Compensation and Benefits
