Development Manager

Redwood Dev Co. is seeking an experienced Development Manager to join our growing development team in Miami. We are a real estate development company focused on creating high-quality affordable, workforce, mixed-income, and mixed-use communities that positively impact the neighborhoods we serve. Our team specializes in complex public-private partnerships, tax credit financing, HUD programs, municipal incentives, and innovative capital structures throughout Florida and beyond. About the Role Development Manager – Multifamily Real Estate Development Redwood Dev Co. | Miami, FL | On-Site The Development Manager will serve as the day-to-day project lead for one or more multifamily development projects, managing projects through the full development lifecycle—from acquisition and underwriting through financing, entitlements, design, construction, and stabilization. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated real estate development professional who is ready to take ownership of complex projects and work closely with senior leadership, consultants, lenders, investors, contractors, and public agencies. Key Responsibilities Lead assigned multifamily development projects from acquisition through construction completion and stabilization. Manage project schedules, budgets, due diligence, critical deadlines, and overall development timelines. Prepare and maintain development budgets, sources and uses, project pro formas, and financial analyses. Coordinate debt, equity, and public financing, including LIHTC, SAIL, HUD, tax-exempt bonds, grants, and other funding sources . Oversee zoning, land use, entitlements, permitting, and municipal approvals. Coordinate with housing agencies, governmental entities, lenders, investors, and community stakeholders. Manage architects, engineers, attorneys, contractors, and other third-party consultants. Review construction progress, draw requests, change orders, and project budgets. Prepare project updates, investment memoranda, financing packages, and presentations. Support project closings, construction loan conversions, cost certifications, and stabilization activities. Identify project risks and proactively develop solutions to keep projects on schedule and within budget. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Real Estate, Finance, Business, Urban Planning, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field. 3–7 years of multifamily real estate development experience. Demonstrated experience managing development projects through multiple phases of the development lifecycle. Affordable housing, LIHTC, HUD, and/or public financing experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of multifamily development, underwriting, project finance, and construction. Excellent project management, organizational, analytical, and communication skills. Ability to independently manage multiple priorities, stakeholders, and deadlines. Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. What Redwood Dev Co.
