In this full-time role, you will work directly with patients in an outpatient setting, providing comprehensive care in an urgent health care environment. Work Environment

This position is onsite in our outpatient office, where you will engage in a fast-paced environment that caters to a broad range of urgent care needs. You will be part of a team that values communication, collaboration, and responsive care. The work schedule typically runs from Monday to Friday and can either be from 9 am to 5 pm or 8 am to 4 pm, allowing you a predictable and manageable work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough assessments and diagnostic evaluations of patients presenting with acute, episodic, and chronic conditions.
• Formulate and implement individualized care plans based on detailed patient histories, physical examinations, and diagnostic tests.
• Prescribe and manage medications and treatment regimens, ensuring adherence to clinical guidelines and protocols.
• Perform comprehensive physical examinations, ensuring accurate documentation that reflects findings and treatment plans.
• Coordinate patient care by facilitating referrals to specialists, promoting continuity in healthcare services.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians and healthcare teams to enhance patient outcomes and provide integrated care.
• Stay updated on the latest health trends and best practices while actively participating in continuous education and professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role will involve interacting with a diverse patient population, including individuals with various backgrounds and medical needs. You will often address urgent health issues, guiding patients through their health journeys while prioritizing their individual stories and health concerns. Empathy and clear communication will be paramount as you navigate the complexities of urgent care.

Qualifications

• A Master’s Degree in Nursing or an accredited Nurse Practitioner program.
• An active Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New York.
• A minimum of 2 years of clinical experience as a Nurse Practitioner, preferably in an urgent care or similar setting.
• National certification as a Nurse Practitioner with prescriptive authority.
• In-depth knowledge of medical terminology, pharmacology, and clinical guidelines.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in urgent care or emergency room settings is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and other healthcare technology.
• Proficiency in developing treatment plans and utilizing diagnostic tools to enhance patient care.

Compensation and Benefits
