Work Environment

The position is located onsite at our outpatient office in Rochester, New York. This environment is characterized by a patient-centered approach, where you will work alongside support staff, human resources, and safety teams. The typical work schedule runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., totaling 40 hours per week, allowing for a balanced relationship between work and personal life. Key Responsibilities

• Conduct detailed assessments of employees’ health status through thorough medical history reviews, physical examinations, and routine health screenings.
• Evaluate and manage work-related injuries and illnesses promptly, making appropriate referrals to specialists as needed.
• Design, implement, and promote health initiatives and wellness programs tailored to the unique needs of the workforce.
• Engage with employers, human resource teams, and safety personnel to ensure compliance with occupational health regulations and industry standards.
• Deliver educational seminars and workshops focused on injury prevention, ergonomics, and other health-related subjects, empowering employees with knowledge to enhance their well-being.
• Maintain accurate and confidential medical records in line with legal requirements and organizational protocols.
• Participate actively in regular workplace hazard assessments and contribute to the development of strategic risk reduction plans.
• Stay current with trends and regulations in occupational health to continuously enhance the care provided.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role will primarily focus on employees from various industries, each presenting unique health challenges related to their work environments. The Nurse Practitioner will address both acute and chronic health issues while also promoting preventive care. Your contributions will help minimize workplace injuries and illnesses, thereby enhancing productivity and overall employee health.

Qualifications

• Current board certification as a Nurse Practitioner.
• An active nursing license valid in the state of New York.
• Possession of a Master’s degree in nursing from an accredited institution.
• Minimum 3-5 years of clinical experience, ideally within occupational health or related fields.
• Thorough understanding of applicable occupational health regulations and best practices.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills, allowing effective communication with employees and management alike.

Preferred Experience

Experience in occupational health settings or corporate health programs is highly regarded, as is proficiency with electronic health record (EHR) systems. Familiarity with health promotion strategies and the ability to design and evaluate wellness programs will set you apart as a candidate.

Compensation and Benefits

This role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 120,000 to 220,000, commensurate with your experience and qualifications.
