Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough mental health evaluations during initial consultations, ensuring accurate documentation and an understanding of each client’s unique circumstances.

• Develop personalized treatment plans and intervention strategies based on assessment results, incorporating both immediate and long-term recovery goals.
\n
• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, employing a variety of therapeutic techniques and frameworks to address diverse client needs.

• Monitor and document clients’ progress continually, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to align with their evolving goals and challenges.

• Collaborate effectively with other health professionals, including psychiatrists and social workers, to ensure a seamless continuum of care for clients transitioning to or from hospitalization.

• Provide referrals as needed, ensuring access to additional support and resources such as family therapy or specialized addiction services.

• Empower family members and caregivers by offering guidance and strategies to navigate the complexities of mental health challenges.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our clients include a diverse population facing various mental health challenges, from anxiety and depression to complex trauma and addiction issues. As a mental health counselor, you will be instrumental in creating tailored interventions that recognize each client’s unique background and experiences, ensuring they receive the most effective support possible.

Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited college or university.

• Current and valid licensure as a LMFT, LMHC, or LICSW in the State of Massachusetts.
\n
• A successful completion of the National Counselor Examination (NCE) or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Superb professional writing and verbal communication skills, ensuring clear and compassionate interactions with clients and colleagues.

Preferred Experience\n

• a minimum of two years of clinical experience as a mental health counselor in an outpatient or similar setting.

• Proficiency with electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, enhancing our record-keeping and client interaction efforts.

• Familiarity with best practices as outlined by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA) and awareness of the impact of pharmacotherapy.

• Strong interpersonal skills with a genuine empathetic approach to counseling, helping build rapport with clients and encouraging their active participation in treatment.

Compensation and Benefits\n

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 80,000 to 100,000 annually, reflecting your experience and expertise in mental health counseling.
