Freelance Translator

Role Description

Big Language Solutions is seeking highly skilled linguists to join our team. We are currently seeking experienced Linguists to support an upcoming opportunity within the healthcare sector. This role involves QA and Machine Translation Post-Editing (MTPE) of clinical and patient-related communications, including appointments, prescriptions, and general healthcare documentation. We are particularly interested in the following language combinations:

• English US to Albanian
• Albanian to English US

Responsibilities include:

• Perform MTPE and quality assurance tasks as needed
• Be responsive to emails and/or phone calls
• Manage multiple assignments and meet short turnaround times while maintaining high-quality work
• Maintain confidentiality and protect the integrity of sensitive information

Qualifications

• Must use Word and PDF
• Experience with Trados Studio and MemoQ preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of professional experience as a translator
• Experience in Medical / Life Sciences (clinical or patient-facing content preferred)
• Experience with proofreading and editing is a plus
• Successful completion of a short healthcare terminology test
