Work Environment

The work setting is an engaging outpatient clinic integrated within a hospital environment, specifically in the scenic area of Deerfield Beach, Florida. Our facility is designed to support both clinical and administrative duties collaboratively. You will be operating on-site from Monday to Friday, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 5:00 PM, ensuring a consistent and structured work routine. The clinic has state-of-the-art equipment to support a variety of therapy modalities, promoting a holistic approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist patients with their therapeutic exercises and recovery plans, applying various techniques under the direct supervision of licensed Physical Therapists.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, recording observations and any changes in condition to inform treatment adaptations.
• Maintain a clean and organized treatment area, ensuring compliance with all safety and health protocols to foster a secure healing environment.
• Support daily operational workflows by scheduling appointments, managing patient follow-ups, and communicating effectively with the healthcare team.
• Engage with patients empathetically, providing motivation and encouragement, and clarifying instructions to enhance patient understanding and compliance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

This role primarily focuses on orthopedic rehabilitation, working with a diverse patient population ranging from athletes recovering from injuries to elderly patients managing chronic pain. As a PTA, you will have the chance to engage with individuals of varying ages and backgrounds, utilizing your clinical skills to tailor rehabilitation programs suited to their specific needs and goals.

Qualifications

• Current and valid Florida PTA license, demonstrating your eligibility and commitment to the profession.
• A Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy Assisting or a related field, equipping you with essential knowledge of anatomy, therapy practices, and patient care.

Preferred Experience

• At least two years of experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in outpatient orthopedic settings.
• Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, particularly WebPT, to streamline documentation and improve efficiency.
• Exceptional manual therapy skills and the ability to apply various treatment techniques confidently across different patient demographics.
• A nurturing demeanor that is comfortable interacting with patients facing diverse physical conditions.

Compensation and Benefits
