Empower Concierge Rehab and PT is actively seeking a dedicated Hospital-Based Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our team in Boca Raton, Florida. In this full-time role, you will work closely with a licensed Physical Therapist to deliver high-quality rehabilitative care to patients recovering from various conditions, including surgeries and chronic illnesses. Work Environment

This position is based in an onsite hospital setting in Boca Raton, a vibrant city known for its warm climate and beautiful surroundings. Working in such an environment allows you to engage directly with patients and healthcare professionals within a multidisciplinary team. You will have access to state-of-the-art equipment and facilities designed to enhance the rehabilitation process. The standard schedule is Monday to Friday, from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a balanced work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist licensed Physical Therapists in implementing customized treatment plans tailored to individual patient goals, which may include strength training, mobility exercises, and neuromuscular re-education.
• Monitor patient progress meticulously, documenting changes and updates to treatment plans, and communicating these effectively to the supervising Physical Therapist.
• Instruct patients on the proper techniques for exercises and daily functional activities to ensure safety and effectiveness during rehabilitation sessions.
• Maintain updated charts and records in compliance with HIPAA regulations and departmental policies, ensuring all documentation meets hospital standards.
• Work collaboratively with a diverse healthcare team, including physicians, nurses, and occupational therapists, to create a coordinated care plan that maximizes patient outcomes.
• Ensure a safe and comforting environment for patients during treatment sessions, addressing any concerns and adapting plans based on their feedback and tolerance.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our patients encompass a wide range of demographics, including individuals recovering from post-surgical procedures, stroke survivors, and those with chronic conditions impacting mobility. As a Physical Therapist Assistant, you will have the opportunity to work with patients of varying ages and backgrounds, each requiring tailored rehabilitation approaches to meet their specific recovery goals. Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• A current Florida PTA license or eligibility for licensure is required.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is essential to ensure patient safety during interventions.
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to document patient progress accurately.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills to foster positive relationships with patients and team members.
• Ability to follow treatment protocols and collaborate effectively within a team.

Preferred Experience

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant, preferably in a hospital or acute care environment.
• Previous exposure to electronic medical records (EMR) systems that streamline patient documentation and communication.
• A strong foundation in therapeutic exercise and available modalities used in physical rehabilitation.

Compensation and Benefits

The salary for this position ranges from $55,000 to $60,000 per year, commensurate with experience and qualifications. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision insurance, a 401(k) with company match, and paid time off.
