Work Environment\n

This role is fully remote, allowing for flexibility in managing your work-life balance. Although therapists primarily operate from home, our team members regularly engage in collaborative virtual meetings, ensuring you will feel connected and supported. We maintain a commitment to normal business hours, Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, allowing time for both professional fulfillment and personal rejuvenation.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate the severity, frequency, and duration of symptoms presented by clients dealing with mood disorders.

• Collaborate closely with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans that are responsive to their individual goals and mental health needs.
\n
• Implement evidence-based therapeutic interventions, including but not limited to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), to address mood disorders effectively.

• Educate clients and their families on various aspects of mood disorders, available treatment options, and vital self-care strategies to promote recovery.
\n
• Regularly monitor clients' progress throughout their treatment journey, adjusting treatment plans when necessary to enhance outcomes.
\n
• Engage with psychiatrists and other healthcare professionals to facilitate comprehensive care that aligns with every client’s treatment goals.
\n
• Stay informed on the latest research and best practices within the field of mood disorders to continuously improve treatment methodologies.
\n
• Document all client interactions and treatment plans clearly and accurately, adhering to ethical and legal standards to protect client confidentiality.

• Participate in case consultations, team meetings, and ongoing professional development to ensure high-quality service delivery.

• Advocate for your clients by working to reduce stigma associated with mental health issues and promoting awareness for their unique needs.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Our primary focus is on individuals experiencing mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety-related conditions. By integrating innovative treatment approaches and fostering a supportive environment, our counselor will play a pivotal role in assisting clients in achieving improved mental well-being and resilience.

Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage and Family Therapy, or a related field from an accredited institution.

• Active and current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of New York.

• Demonstrated expertise in recognized treatment techniques such as CBT and DBT with a measurable success record.

• Strong knowledge of psychopharmacology to ensure effective collaboration with psychiatrists and medical staff.

• Exceptional communication skills to build rapport with clients from varying backgrounds.
