This position is primarily remote, allowing for flexibility while ensuring you have regular communication with team members through virtual meetings and collaborative platforms. Our outpatient office, located in Scranton, Pennsylvania, serves as a hub for staff meetings, training, and occasional in-person appointments. Key Responsibilities\n

• Provide individual, couple, and family therapy sessions using evidence-based approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs.

• Conduct thorough assessments to understand clients’ backgrounds and mental health status, leading to the development of personalized treatment plans.

• Utilize tools such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT) and other therapeutic modalities to promote healing and improve patient outcomes.

• Ensure meticulous documentation of client progress, treatment plans, and session notes, in compliance with organizational and state regulatory requirements.

• Stay informed on the latest research and methodologies in mental health to ensure effective practices in therapy.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams when needed, including psychiatrists and support staff, to provide comprehensive care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

The LPC will work with a diverse clientele, including children, adolescents, adults, and families, each facing unique challenges, particularly in relation to anxiety and trauma. A strong commitment to culturally competent care and sensitivity to varying client backgrounds will be essential in establishing trust and rapport.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s degree in Counseling or a related field.

• Currently active State Licensure as a Professional Counselor.

• Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.

• Proficiency in utilizing teletherapy platforms as well as traditional counseling methods.

• Strong emotional intelligence and empathy for client experiences, particularly regarding trauma and recovery.

Preferred Experience\n

• A minimum of 3 years of professional counseling experience, particularly in therapeutic settings working with children and families.

Compensation and Benefits\n

The Freeman Center offers a competitive annual salary ranging from USD 90,000 to 100,000.
