Work Environment

This position is based in our conveniently located outpatient office in Pompano Beach, Florida, allowing for real-time collaboration with colleagues and direct interaction with patients. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art rehabilitation tools and technologies that assist in delivering effective therapy. The daily work schedule typically consists of 40 hours a week with variable weekend shifts to accommodate patient needs, ensuring flexible and attentive care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients, assessing their functional limitations and disabilities to formulate effective treatment plans.
• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration, actively consulting with healthcare providers to ensure seamless continuity of care and optimal patient outcomes.
• Implement treatment protocols, adapting interventions based on patient progress and feedback, while also documenting patient interactions in compliance with professional standards.
• Educate patients and their families regarding treatment plans, mobility strategies, and rehabilitation exercises to foster understanding and participation in their recovery process.
• Regularly re-evaluate and adjust treatment approaches depending on patient response, ensuring adherence to applicable laws and regulations while maintaining accurate records of services provided.
• Attend and participate in interdisciplinary team meetings to enhance treatment efficacy through collaborative strategies and share insights from patient interactions.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Our orthopedic physical therapists primarily work with patients recovering from surgeries and injuries related to the musculoskeletal system, including joint replacements, fractures, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. The role requires a compassionate approach, as therapists will support a diverse patient demographic, adapting treatments to accommodate various age groups and cultural backgrounds.

Qualifications

• A Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited institution is required.
• Current state licensure as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) issued by the Physical Therapy Examining Committee.
• A minimum of two (2) years of relevant clinical experience in an orthopedic setting is essential.
• Current CPR certification is mandatory.

Preferred Experience

While not mandatory, additional qualifications such as specialty certifications in orthopedics, sports rehabilitation, or manual therapy techniques can enhance the candidate's profile. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems would also be advantageous for streamlined documentation and patient management.

Compensation and Benefits
