About the Role Dandy is seeking a Director, Strategic Finance. Reporting directly to CFO, this role will help shape and execute our strategic priorities, with a particular focus on international expansion and new ventures. This pivotal role involves leveraging financial insights to recommend and drive strategic initiatives, ultimately contributing to the company's growth trajectory. What You'll Do Be the Finance owner of expansion activities, particularly international expansion, identifying which expansionary activities are performing and assessing resource allocation. Provide effective steering to the business as it seeks to achieve its growth goals. Dive deep into areas of our business and figure out where we can set aggressive targets, and then work with cross‑functional teams to develop and execute initiatives around those recommendations. Facilitate collaboration across departments including operations, engineering, and product to drive strategic projects and external engagements. Be an advocate and stakeholder for the Finance team in those rooms. Identify operational inefficiencies and devise scalable solutions to enhance business performance and market positioning. Utilize advanced data analysis to inform strategic decision‑making and drive business growth. What We're Looking For 8+ years of experience in finance, private equity or related fields, preferably in high‑growth startups. Proven ability to creatively solve complex problems in the face of ambiguity. Comfortable with being in the weeds and diving deep into the business, and also operating strategically. Entrepreneurial mindset with a passion for innovation and a track record of delivering impactful projects. Strong financial modeling capabilities. Comfort navigating ambiguity and making data‑driven decisions to achieve business objectives. Desire for a broad scope of responsibilities, spanning various aspects of the business including operations, finance, and marketing. Demonstrated bias for action and a relentless pursuit of results. Not afraid to have backbone or suggest new ideas to more senior leaders. Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment and prioritize effectively to meet deadlines. Bonus Points For Experience in strategic roles within high‑growth startup environments. Demonstrated rapid assimilation of information and ability to execute at pace.
