Health First Medical Center is seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician Assistant to enhance our Primary Care practice in New Rochelle, New York. Work Environment

This position is based onsite at our hospital, where you will engage daily with patients in a Primary Care outpatient office setting. You will work approximately 40 hours a week, Monday through Friday, with hours concluding at 5:00 PM. Our hospital is equipped with state-of-the-art technology, ensuring you have the tools necessary to deliver exceptional healthcare.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patient medical histories to ensure accurate assessments.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests, such as blood tests and radiology examinations, to aid in diagnosing health conditions.
• Formulate treatment plans for patients dealing with chronic and acute health issues.
• Prescribe necessary medications and monitor patient progress throughout their treatment journeys.
• Maintain meticulous patient records and manage appointment schedules effectively.
• Provide education to patients and their families on health management, disease prevention, and treatment options.
• Promote wellness through patient engagement and community health initiatives.
• Stay abreast of advancements in medical practices and engage in research to enhance clinical knowledge.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your focus will primarily be on adult patients, with a wide variety of health conditions, from chronic diseases like diabetes and hypertension to acute illnesses requiring immediate attention. You will foster strong relationships with your patients, ensuring they receive personalized care tailored to their individual health needs. Your role is crucial in promoting preventive care and health education in the community.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience as a Physician Assistant in a clinical or hospital setting, ideally with a focus on primary care.
• Current Physician Assistant license and certification (PA-C) in the state of New York.
• A valid DEA number for prescribing medications.
• Knowledge of health regulations and compliance standards in patient care.
• Excellent communication skills with a strong emphasis on patient education and care.
• A team-oriented perspective, collaborating effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in various specialties, including acute care, internal medicine, cardiology, and urgent care.
• Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems, ensuring effective documentation and patient tracking.
• Bilingual capabilities are a plus to better serve our diverse patient demographic.

Compensation and Benefits

This position offers a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 to 180,000 per year, commensurate with experience. In addition, we provide a comprehensive benefits package including:
