Position Overview

Living Memorial Hospital is actively seeking a dedicated and skilled Full-Time Physician Assistant to join our Surgical Center team in New Rochelle, New York. In this critical role, you will harness your clinical expertise to diagnose and treat a broad range of health conditions, while also playing a vital part in health promotion and disease prevention. You will work in direct collaboration with physicians and other healthcare professionals to deliver exceptional patient care.

Work Environment

The Surgical Center operates on a full-time schedule, with 40 hours of work per week, Monday through Friday, concluding at 5:00 PM. As a member of our onsite team, you will enjoy a supportive work culture characterized by collaboration and open communication. Our facility is designed to foster a dynamic environment where medical professionals, including five seasoned MDs and five Nurse Practitioners (NPs), work hand-in-hand to provide comprehensive patient care.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and review patient medical histories to assess health status accurately.
• Order and analyze diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging studies to formulate appropriate treatment plans.
• Diagnose acute and chronic health conditions, developing tailored treatment strategies for each patient.
• Prescribe medications and therapies, ensuring adherence to legal and ethical standards of patient care.
• Maintain meticulous patient records, schedules, and documentation to uphold regulatory standards and enhance continuity of care.
• Provide education to patients and their families about health conditions, treatment options, and preventative measures.
• Encourage healthy lifestyle choices and proactive disease prevention, contributing to overall community wellness.
• Commit to ongoing professional development, including research and staying current with clinical best practices.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, addressing a wide spectrum of medical issues ranging from preventive care to the management of complex health conditions. Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s Degree in Physician Assistant studies is required.
• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience in a clinical environment, such as a hospital or outpatient setting, is mandatory.
• Current Physician Assistant certification (PA-C) and valid New York State license.
• A DEA number is required for prescribing medications.
• Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team and engage in effective communication with both colleagues and patients.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in primary care, urgent care, or surgical settings.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems to enhance patient data management.
• Bilingual candidates are highly encouraged to apply, although it is not a requirement.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary range of USD 140,000 – 180,000 annually, commensurate with experience. Additionally, you will receive a comprehensive benefits package that includes:
