Experienced Physician Assistant for Surgical Center

Position Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Physician Assistant (PA) to join our healthcare team at CareSync Healthcare Solutions located in New Rochelle, New York. In this full-time role, you will have the opportunity to assess, diagnose, plan, and implement comprehensive medical care for patients in collaboration with our physicians. As a PA within our surgical center, you will work autonomously while remaining accountable for the assessment, coordination, delivery, and evaluation of care. Your focus will include direct patient interactions, education for patients and their families, and a strong emphasis on transitioning care effectively throughout the healthcare continuum.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and evaluate patients by reviewing their medical history and conducting relevant diagnostic tests.
• Order, interpret, and analyze diagnostic tests such as blood work and imaging studies, ensuring timely follow-up on results.
• Diagnose and treat a wide range of health conditions including acute illnesses, chronic diseases, and post-operative care, following evidence-based guidelines.
• Develop detailed and personalized treatment plans for patients with both chronic and infectious diseases, facilitating optimal health outcomes.
• Prescribe medications and monitor patient responses, making adjustments as necessary to therapeutic regimens.
• Maintain organized and accurate patient records in accordance with healthcare regulations, ensuring compliance and confidentiality.
• Provide education to patients and families about disease management, preventive health measures, and wellness strategies.
• Oversee the overall health management of patients in the surgical center, ensuring that follow-up care is integrated and comprehensive.
• Promote healthy lifestyle practices and engage patients in their health care to empower them to take an active role in wellness.
• Participate in continuing education and professional development activities, staying abreast of the latest advancements in medicine.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will interact with a diverse patient population, including individuals undergoing surgical procedures, post-operative care, and those requiring ongoing management of chronic health conditions. We prioritize personalized care and strive to address the specific health needs of each patient, ensuring that they receive the attention and support necessary throughout their medical journey.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program.
• Active certification as a Physician Assistant by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• State licensure as a Physician Assistant.
• A minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Physician Assistant in a healthcare setting, preferably in primary or surgical care.
• Specialization in family medicine with extensive clinical experience in primary care.
• In-depth knowledge of patient care regulations, healthcare best practices, and standards.
• Exceptional communication skills to effectively engage with patients, families, and multidisciplinary team members.
• A strong ethical foundation and commitment to providing patient-centered care.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment, embracing a positive attitude and adaptability.
• Patience and interpersonal skills to handle a variety of patient needs and situations.
• Willingness to pursue ongoing education and skill enhancement, ensuring up-to-date clinical capabilities.
• A valid DEA number is required.

Preferred Experience

• Experience in a surgical setting or outpatient clinic.
• Advanced knowledge of surgical protocols and patient management post-surgery.
• Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient management software.

Compensation and Benefits

We offer a competitive salary ranging from $140,000 to $160,000 annually, based on experience, alongside a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, paid time off, retirement plans, and opportunities for professional development.
