Work Environment

The Physician Assistant will work onsite at a well-equipped hospital facility, allowing for immediate access to a range of medical resources and support services. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM, providing a balanced work-life structure.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and compile detailed medical histories to assess patients' health status and identify potential health concerns.
• Utilize clinical judgment to diagnose and manage various medical conditions, implementing treatment plans under the guidance of supervising physicians.
• Execute clinical procedures such as catheterizations, suturing, and administering vaccines or medications, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Respond effectively to emergency situations, adhering to established ER protocols and participating in critical care interventions when necessary.
• Provide continuous education and counseling to patients about their diagnoses, treatment options, and preventive health measures to empower informed health decisions.
• Maintain accurate documentation of patient encounters, utilizing electronic health record (EHR) systems to ensure compliance with coding and quality assurance standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus

In this role, you will primarily engage with a diverse outpatient population, encompassing individuals of varying ages, backgrounds, and health conditions. You will be tasked with addressing both acute and chronic health issues while emphasizing preventive care and wellness education to enhance overall health outcomes in the community.

Qualifications

• Possess an active Physician Assistant license in the state of New York, ensuring compliance with professional and regulatory requirements.
• Hold a Master’s degree from an accredited Physician Assistant program, demonstrating a solid foundation of knowledge in medical science and clinical practices.
• Achieve board certification by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), reflecting your commitment to maintaining high professional standards.

Preferred Experience
