Position Overview

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough physical examinations and meticulously review patient medical records to gather essential health information.
• Order, analyze, and interpret diagnostic tests, including blood tests and imaging studies, to inform treatment decisions.
• Diagnose and manage a range of health conditions and illnesses, specifically within the family medicine scope.
• Develop and implement personalized treatment plans tailored to address chronic and infectious diseases effectively.
• Prescribe medications judiciously and monitor patient responses to ensure optimal health outcomes.
• Maintain comprehensive and accurate patient records and schedules, ensuring adherence to all relevant health regulations.
• Deliver education to patients and their families regarding health conditions, prevention strategies, and ongoing care requirements.
• Oversee and manage patients’ overall health, promoting well-being through preventive care and lifestyle modifications.
• Stay current with the latest advancements in primary care, actively engaging in research and ongoing professional development.

Patient Population / Client Focus

You will primarily work with a diverse patient population, addressing varying health concerns from pediatric to geriatric patients. Qualifications

• Master's degree in Physician Assistant studies from an accredited program.
• Current certification as a Physician Assistant from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA).
• Active state licensure as a Physician Assistant in New York.
• A minimum of two years of relevant experience in a healthcare setting, preferably within a family health clinic or hospital environment.
• Demonstrated expertise in family medicine and an understanding of primary care delivery.
• Strong clinical assessment skills, along with a solid foundation in patient care regulations.
• Exceptional communication abilities to effectively interact with patients, their families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• A commitment to ethical patient care and a passion for achievingpositive health outcomes.
• Must possess a DEA number or the willingness to obtain one.

Compensation and Benefits

The annual salary for this position ranges from $140,000 to $160,000, based on the candidate's experience and qualifications.
