Key Responsibilities

As a Physical Therapist at Valleywise, you will:

• Evaluate, plan, and implement individualized treatment programs based on patient assessments and physician referrals.
• Utilize evidence-based methodologies to treat a diverse patient population, including orthopedic, pediatric, neurologic, and sports medicine cases.
• Demonstrate excellent customer service by engaging patients in their rehabilitation journey, ensuring that they feel supported and valued.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient care and align treatment objectives with the overall rehabilitation goals.
• Provide skilled therapeutic interventions in accordance with physician care plans, aiming to enhance patients' functional outcomes.
• Educate patients and their families about their conditions, therapeutic exercises, and the recovery process to foster autonomy and adherence to treatment.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate degree in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program.
• A current and valid state license as a Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT).
• A minimum of two years of practical experience working within a similar outpatient setting.
• Current CPR certificate.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills essential for patient education and team collaboration.
• Proficiency in word processing and electronic health record systems.
• A compassionate and patient-centered approach that encourages authentic relationships with clients.
• Ability to network and engage with community resources to enhance patient support.

Preferred Experience

While not required, candidates with specialized training or certifications in areas such as pediatric therapy, sports rehabilitation, or neurologic recovery will be viewed favorably. Experience with telehealth or digital documentation systems can also be an advantage.
