Key Responsibilities\n

As a Mental Health Counselor at Elite Family and Youth Counseling Services, you will:

• Conduct thorough evaluations of patients' mental health status, including the use of standardized assessment tools.

• Develop individualized treatment plans that address the specific needs and goals of each client.
\n
• Provide ongoing therapy sessions utilizing evidence-based practices, with a focus on building therapeutic relationships and trust.

• Regularly monitor clients’ progress and make necessary adjustments to treatment plans to ensure effective outcomes.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including social workers and psychiatrists, to coordinate comprehensive care and treatment options for patients.

• Document patient interactions, treatment plans, and progress in electronic health record (EHR) systems accurately and timely.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be working with diverse populations, including children, adolescents, and families who face a variety of challenges, such as substance abuse, anxiety, depression, and eating disorders. You will be expected to adapt your therapeutic approach to meet the cultural, contextual, and individual needs of each client, utilizing inclusive and culturally competent methodologies.

Qualifications\n

The ideal candidate for this position will possess the following qualifications:

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• A current and valid license as an LMFT, LPC, or LCSW in the state of New York.
\n
• A minimum of two years of related experience in the mental health field, demonstrating clinical competency.
\n
• A deep understanding of mental health issues, evidence-based treatment modalities, and a commitment to cultural competence.

• Experience with individual and group therapy, ensuring the methods used are responsive to the diverse backgrounds of clients.
