Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments of clients experiencing mood disorders, including the evaluation of symptom intensity, frequency, and duration.

• Collaborate with clients to co-create personalized treatment plans that align with their unique needs, preferences, and therapeutic goals.

• Utilize evidence-based therapeutic modalities like Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) to facilitate effective treatment.

• Educate clients and their families about mood disorders, empowering them with knowledge about available treatment options and self-care strategies.

• Regularly monitor and document clients' progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Coordinate with psychiatrists and other medical professionals to deliver integrated care that addresses the holistic needs of clients.

• Stay informed on the latest research and developments in mood disorder treatment to continuously improve therapeutic practices.

• Maintain meticulous, confidential records in compliance with legal and ethical standards.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

Your primary focus will be clients coping with a variety of mood disorders, including depression, bipolar disorder, and anxiety. In addition, you will have the opportunity to work with vulnerable populations, such as refugees, homeless individuals, and survivors of domestic abuse. Your therapeutic interventions will help empower these clients to navigate challenges, develop coping strategies, and foster emotional health.

• A current and active state license as a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) is required.
