Key Responsibilities

As an Orthopedic Physical Therapist, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Conducting comprehensive evaluations of patients, including reviews of medical history, physical assessments, and the development of treatment recommendations.
• Communicating evaluation results and treatment plans clearly to patients and their families, ensuring they are actively involved in goal-setting processes.
• Utilizing evidence-based treatment protocols tailored to each patient's unique condition and needs, demonstrating proficiency in modalities like manual therapy and therapeutic exercises.
• Maintaining effective documentation of patient care, including initial evaluations, progress notes, and discharge summaries, in compliance with regulatory requirements.
• Collaborating with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to provide holistic care, sharing insights and adapting treatment plans based on changes in patient conditions.
• Participating in professional development activities, including attending workshops and pursuing additional certifications to enhance competencies.
• Engaging in marketing initiatives to promote clinic services and improve community access to physical therapy care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

The primary focus of our practice is on individuals recovering from orthopedic injuries and surgeries. You will work with a diverse patient population, including athletes, post-surgical patients, and individuals with chronic pain conditions. Your role will be pivotal in helping these patients regain mobility, enhance their quality of life, and achieve their personal recovery goals.

Qualifications

Candidates must meet the following qualifications:

• A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) is required.
• Possession of a valid Florida physical therapist license.
• Demonstrated clinical expertise, particularly in manual therapy and exercise protocol development.
• Strong proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) software, specifically WebPT.
• A clean professional record with no history of disciplinary actions against your physical therapy license.

Preferred Experience
