Work Environment

This position is based in Boca Grande, FL, where the work setting is primarily within client homes. The Physical Therapist will work closely with patients and their family members to deliver tailored therapy services that cater to both physical rehabilitation and emotional support. Key Responsibilities

• Direct and oversee physical therapy treatment plans aimed at preventing disabilities, relieving pain, and enhancing the overall functional abilities of each client.
• Conduct thorough evaluations of the client's physiologic status and functional capabilities through assessments using diagnostic tools.
• Evaluate the home environment to identify potential barriers and suggest modifications to enhance patient independence.
• Deliver physical therapy treatments as prescribed by referring physicians, which may include administering manual therapy techniques and instructing patients in therapeutic exercises.
• Regularly assess clients' progress, making necessary adjustments to care plans based on observed responses to interventions or changes in conditions.
• Prepare comprehensive clinical documentation including evaluations, treatment plans, progress notes, and discharge summaries for each patient.
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to ensure a cohesive approach to client care, participating in case conferences and sharing insights with colleagues.
• Keep families and caregivers well-informed regarding the treatment processes, self-care techniques, and the use of any prescribed therapeutic devices.
• Supervise Physical Therapy Assistants in accordance with state regulations to ensure quality implementation of therapy services.
• Fulfill additional tasks as required to meet the overall objectives of the therapeutic team and the organization.

Qualifications

• Must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of one year of clinical experience as a physical therapist, ideally in a home care or acute care setting.
• Active and valid physical therapy licensure in the state of Florida, maintaining good standing.
• Current certification in CPR.
• Exceptional interpersonal skills necessary for effective communication with patients, families, and interdisciplinary team members.

Preferred Experience

Compensation and Benefits

This full-time position offers a competitive salary ranging from USD 100,000 to 120,000 annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
