Work Environment\n

This position is designed for those who prefer a remote work setting while remaining connected through a supportive outpatient office environment in Jacksonville, Florida. You will engage with clients primarily via telehealth platforms, allowing for flexibility in scheduling and minimizing barriers to accessing care. Our work hours are Monday to Friday from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm, with occasional evening hours required on a rotating basis based on client appointments.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct thorough assessments to gauge clients' mental health and substance use concerns, accurately identifying the presence of co-occurring disorders.

• Collaborate with clients to formulate personalized treatment plans that integrate evidence-based therapies to address their mental health and substance use needs effectively.

• Deliver both individual and group therapy sessions focused on developing crucial coping skills, relapse prevention strategies, and emotional regulation techniques.

• Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to ensure a holistic, integrated approach to treatment that optimizes client outcomes.

• Consistently monitor clients' substance use, utilizing motivational interviewing techniques to encourage engagement and commitment to their recovery journey.
\n
• Educate clients and their families regarding the interplay between mental health and substance use disorders while emphasizing the significance of adherence to treatment.

• Maintain timely and accurate documentation of treatment progress, interventions performed, and referrals made, adhering to ethical and legal standards.

• Participate in case conferences, team meetings, and training sessions aimed at enhancing skills and knowledge related to the treatment of co-occurring disorders.

You will be working with a diverse clientele, including adults and adolescents facing a range of mental health disorders alongside substance use issues. Qualifications\n

• A master’s or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as either an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in the state of Florida.

• Strong proficiency in evidence-based therapies for co-occurring disorders, including Integrated Dual Diagnosis Treatment (IDDT) and Motivational Interviewing (MI).

• A deep understanding of the complex relationship between mental health and substance use disorders.
\n
• Excellent interpersonal skills with a knack for collaboration and effective communication within an interdisciplinary team.

Preferred Experience\n

• At least two years of professional experience in mental health counseling or a related field, specifically working with co-occurring disorders.

• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and electronic health record systems to streamline client care and documentation processes.
