Work Environment\n

As a telehealth position, this role provides the flexibility to work remotely while still maintaining a strong connection with clients. You will engage in video sessions and utilize digital tools to deliver therapy, making it convenient for clients to access services from the comfort of their homes. Our supportive environment encourages therapists to collaborate regularly with their peers, share resources, and partake in professional development activities. Working hours are Monday through Friday, from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, promoting a healthy work-life balance.

Key Responsibilities\n

• Deliver personalized mindfulness-based interventions, including MBSR, to help clients identify stress reduction techniques and enhance their overall well-being.

• Conduct thorough initial assessments that evaluate clients’ mental health needs, personal stressors, and therapeutic goals, and tailor interventions based on these findings.

• Facilitate one-on-one mindfulness exercises, meditation sessions, and controlled breathing techniques to promote self-awareness and emotional regulation.

• Organize and conduct engaging group workshops that focus on mindfulness practices, effective stress management strategies, and resilience-building techniques.

• Integrate mindfulness practices into individual therapy sessions, customizing approaches to address clients’ unique mental health challenges and needs.

• Collaborate with fellow therapists and healthcare professionals to enhance treatment approaches and ensure holistic care for clients.

• Maintain meticulous documentation regarding client progress, treatments provided, and updates to care plans to support ongoing therapy and improve outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

You will be working with a diverse client population that includes individuals dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, and other mental health concerns. The therapeutic techniques utilized are designed to address the specific needs of each individual, emphasizing mindfulness as a core strategy for promoting mental well-being. Clients range from those seeking short-term support to others needing long-term therapeutic interventions, creating a dynamic and rewarding engagement for therapists.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution.

• Current and valid licensure as a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC), or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) in New York State.

• Demonstrated proficiency in incorporating mindfulness techniques into therapeutic practices, with a strong grasp on mindfulness methodology.

• Exceptional communication skills, characterized by the ability to create a calming, supportive, and non-judgmental therapeutic environment.

Preferred Experience\n

• Experience in Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) techniques and frameworks is preferred to optimize client engagement and therapeutic effectiveness.
