Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive intake assessments and mental health evaluations to establish a baseline understanding of each client’s psychological state.

• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that encompass therapeutic interventions tailored to the unique needs of individuals, couples, families, and groups.

• Facilitate engaging individual and group therapy sessions, utilizing evidence-based techniques to encourage open communication and support recovery.

• Continuously monitor client progress throughout the treatment process, modifying plans as necessary to ensure optimal outcomes.

• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams, including psychiatrists, nurses, and social workers, to coordinate care and enhance overall treatment effectiveness.

• Provide necessary follow-up for clients requiring hospitalization, ensuring seamless transitions back into outpatient care.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role focuses on serving a diverse client population with various mental health challenges, including anxiety disorders, mood disorders, trauma-related issues, and more. Qualifications\n

• A Master's or doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited institution is required.

• Current and valid licensure as an LMFT, LPCC, or LCSW in the State of California is essential.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or the National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE) is required.

• Proficient in using electronic health record systems, particularly AVATAR, for documentation and case management.

• Solid understanding of the interplay between mental health and various physical health conditions, including addiction disorders, is essential.

• Demonstrated ability to build rapport with clients and exhibit empathy in challenging situations.

Preferred Experience\n

• Previous experience working as a mental health counselor in a clinical setting, particularly in telehealth, is highly valued.
