Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations through initial consultations, utilizing standardized assessment tools and interviews to gather relevant data about clients' mental and emotional states.

• Create individualized treatment plans that outline goals and therapeutic interventions tailored to the specific needs of clients, including individuals, couples, and families.

• Facilitate both individual and group therapy sessions aimed at addressing clients' emotional and behavioral challenges, employing various therapeutic techniques appropriate for different client populations.

• Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans collaboratively with clients, ensuring that they are on track with their recovery and therapeutic goals.

• Engage in interdisciplinary collaboration by working closely with psychiatrists, medical professionals, and other mental health specialists to ensure comprehensive care for clients with complex needs.

• Maintain meticulous documentation of all client interactions and treatment plans via electronic health record systems such as AVATAR, ensuring compliance with state regulations and organizational policies.

• Support family members and caregivers by providing psychoeducation and coping strategies related to their loved one's mental health challenges.

Our clients come from diverse backgrounds and present a variety of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, emotional trauma, relationship issues, and substance abuse. Qualifications\n

• A Bachelor's Degree in Mental Health Counseling, Psychology, or a related field from an accredited institution is required; a Master's or Doctoral degree is preferred.

• Current, valid licensing as a LMFT, LMHC, LCSW, or LCSW-R in New York State.

• A passing score on the National Counselor Examination (NCE) and/or National Clinical Mental Health Counseling Examination (NCMHCE).

• Proficiency in using electronic health record systems, with prior experience in AVATAR preferred.

• Strong clinical insight, exceptional written and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to continuous professional development.

Preferred Experience\n

• Extensive experience in clinical mental health counseling, particularly in a telehealth or remote setting.

• Familiarity with evidence-based practices and innovative therapeutic techniques, including cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness strategies, and trauma-informed care.

• Knowledge of co-occurring disorders and experience managing clients with both mental health and substance use issues.

• Understanding of the latest developments and best practices in mental health care as guided by the American Mental Health Counselors Association (AMHCA).
