Key Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality medical care and conduct diagnostic evaluations in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
• Maintain accurate and timely patient medical records that fulfill requirements set by insurance providers and submit appeals for any denials.
• Coordinate with case management teams to facilitate efficient discharge planning for patients.
• Act as a consulting physician for new patients and provide patient referrals to specialists as necessary, ensuring appropriate care pathways are followed based on individual medical diagnoses.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings and quality improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing our service delivery and patient outcomes.
• Engage in on-call duties as needed, ensuring coverage for specialty consultations and emergent care.

Patient Population / Client Focus

Your role as a Physician Assistant will primarily focus on managing a diverse patient population within the Clarence community, encompassing a wide range of medical concerns including chronic diseases, preventive care, and urgent health issues. You will work closely with patients to educate them about their health, treatment options, and to support them in making informed decisions regarding their care.

Qualifications

• A bachelor’s degree in a relevant field from an accredited university.
• A Master's degree in Physician Assistant Studies accredited by the appropriate accreditation body.
• A valid state Physician Assistant license (PA-C) is mandatory.
• Strong communication and organizational skills, with an emphasis on collaboration and teamwork.
• A current DEA number is required to prescribe medications.

Compensation and Benefits
