Key Responsibilities\n

As a Licensed Mental Health Counselor, your daily responsibilities will include:

• Performing comprehensive assessments of patients' psychosocial needs to determine appropriate treatment plans and referral options.

• Providing case management services that include short-term counseling and, when necessary, crisis intervention to ensure immediate mental health support.
\n
• Supporting patients in navigating and completing forms related to entitlements, supplemental insurance, and other benefits aimed at reducing their reliance on emergency assistance programs.

• Assisting patients in accessing medication cost assistance programs sponsored by pharmaceutical companies and local community initiatives.
\n
• Acting as a patient advocate by developing relationships with community agencies and resources that can further support client needs.
\n
• Maintaining accurate and detailed patient records in compliance with regulatory requirements while preparing reports and documentation as needed to ensure effective communication and treatment continuity.

• Coordinating and facilitating transportation assistance for patients when necessary to ensure a seamless experience in accessing necessary services.
\n
• Participating in clinical and team meetings, contributing insights and strategies related to patient care and treatment outcomes.

Patient Population / Client Focus\n

This role primarily involves working with a diverse array of patients who present with various mental health challenges, including anxiety, depression, trauma, and other psychological disorders. You will engage with individuals from different backgrounds, ensuring that your clinical skills and empathetic approach lead to effective treatment tailored to each patient's unique needs.

Qualifications\n

The following qualifications are required for this position:

• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Marriage and Family Therapy, or Counseling.

• An active and independent professional license (LPCC, LCSW, or LMFT) in California.

• A minimum of two (2) years of professional experience in mental health counseling or related fields.

Preferred Experience\n

While not mandated, candidates with experience in telehealth counseling, crisis intervention, and case management will be viewed favorably. Familiarity with electronic health record (EHR) systems and patient documentation protocols will enhance your candidacy.

Compensation and Benefits\n
